Happy Easter!

Next to Christmas I think one of my other favorite holiday's is Easter. To me it is so much more than bunnies, eggs, new clothes etc...
I know there are many people in this world who do not believe in Jesus and that to me is sad (my opinion) however, it is your right. But I always question how one cannot believe? How can someone look at a newborn baby and say God doesn't exist? Or the trees, sun, moon and stars?
For Christians this is one of the most important holidays starting with Good Friday because it gives us hope for our future. To me, Good Friday should be a reflection day, remembering what Jesus did for each and every person- not just for those who believe in him. In the acient times crucifiction was one of the most disgraceful and dreaded punishments. The suffering that he went through the beating, hanging on the cross with nails pierced through his hands and feet, a thorn of crowns, thirsty wanting something to drink - all of this one man did for me, which he didn't have to do other than the simple fact... he loves me. And with three little words our lives are forever changed... "It is finished". There is no greater love that can ever be shown to you- not from your mother, father, spouse or child as the love that was shown on that day.
