I got a random email the other day on my Scentsy website from a man that said "I want to buy Scentsy. Can you help me" and gave his name and number. First off, it is just ODD to me to receive an email like that because I normally don't. I called the gentleman back left him a message and went on my way. I didn't hear back from him until 2 days later. He called and said he went to a local church here and they had Scentsy in the mens bathroom and he LOVED it and wanted to buy some. He somehow found me on the web and emailed me. I was a little taken aback and thinking this is a scam or something but of course I am not going to deny someone the fabulous Scentsy. He then tells me he would like to meet me somewhere. Now I am thinking this went from scam to I am going to be abducted. He wants to meet at Starbucks so I think Ok, that is a public location. I am good. Then I think, wait a minute people get abducted from public locations all the time! So we had a time and place set to meet. I informed him I would have my husband with me because we had been out running errands (lie). "No problem" he says. Then I get a call from another number I don't recognize. It is this mans son. He tells me HE now wants to buy Scentsy. I can't lie. I am thinking this is really strange. His son tells me he wants to smell the Scents but can't come when I am meeting with his dad and could I change and do it another day and different location. Um. Sure I can cause I am flexible like that. Another abduction thought raced through my mind because this time we met, Mike would not be able to go with me. I am not usually a very cautious person but something about this just made me uneasy. I go anyway and as I am waiting in the parking lot I see a friend of mine drive up. She parks right next to me and we chat for a moment and she is going into the same place I am to meet these two men. Whew! I think she was my Angel sent just to calm my fears. So anyway this leads me to the title of my post. I met with the two men, pull out ALL my Scentsy testers and get to smelling. They ended up buying several hundred dollars worth from me and in talking with the dad, he says he might be interested in selling it! I know you might think that strange but I don't. Lots of men sell Scentsy. But I was expecting to be abducted and ended up getting a great customer, making a great sale and a potential consultant. He told me the reason he picked me out of the list of Scentsy consultants he found on the web was because in my picture I had a cross necklace on.
You never know who God will put in your path.
