MAN CAVE PART 1

I am told men need Man Caves as a place where they can just hang out and do nothing. I honestly thought that is what they did at home but I guess I was wrong. So here is a post about turning an airplane hanger into a "Man Cave" First, you might be wondering why an airplane hanger? Well, my husband started a motorcycle club. It's a good club that helps kids going through all walks of life but mostly kids who are turning to drugs and alcohol. Sometimes they have the kids out there to hang out or whatever so it needed to be nice, manly, but nice. This place was in shambles I tell ya! It had been broken in to, trashed, walls spray painted etc. Something HAD to be done with the walls but new sheet rock was out of the question due to expense. So I got online and started searching and asking around for free wood. I found some from a friend and it was actually new wood he had left over from replacing his fence. I wanted an old look and so I did more searching on how to make new wood look old. Thanks to Pintrest, I found it. Here is what you will need: White Vinegar Steel Wool Gloves Put the vinegar in a bucket - I used a gallon bucket for this. Then put the steel wool in the vinegar and let set, overnight if you can. You will want to do everything outside because other than the fact it's vinegar and it stinks, it is a pretty messy craft. Now, take your wood and laid them out on a table or a tarp outside. Make sure to put your gloves on! Begin wiping the steel wool over the wood. Once it is completely covered with the vinegar wash, let it set. You will begin to see the "age" process take place.

You can see in the above picture the difference in the 2. Once you get your desired age look- you are done.

This was what the bathroom looked like before.

And after. Much better!
