SPICY SALTINE CRACKERS

I was at a luncheon several years ago and tried these crackers. They were good, just a little greasy for me so I never tried them again. Several months back I went to visit my friend Linda. Linda is a fabulous cook and I always love going to visit her just for girl time- and her cooking. We were sitting out on her porch one night having a glass of wine and she brought out these crackers. Hers were a little different. Here is her recipe. **Note** I love the garlic and onion powder that was added. It gave it a little different taste.

1 1/4 cups canola oil
1 (1 ounce) package ranch dressing mix
2 tablespoons red pepper flakes
1 tablespoon Onion Powder
1 tablespoon Garlic Powder
1 (16 ounce) box saltine crackers

Pre-heat oven to 250 degrees. Put all your crackers in a large bowl with a lid. Mix all your ingredients together and pour over the crackers. Mix the crackers by gently shaking the bowl (you don't want crackers breaking). You need to do this for about 15-20 minutes so they get well coated. Once that is done, spread crackers on a baking sheet and place in the oven for about 20 minutes, flipping them half way through. Once they are done seal in a gallon size zip lock baggie.
