Couponing

Ok, so I am trying to get on the band wagon of couponing. I have done it here and there in the past and have saved money but I want to be one of those crazy people who can buy 300.00 worth of groceries for 10.00. I have tried and tried to do it but I can't figure it out for the life of me. Maybe I have to be more disciplined in cutting coupons or quite possibly more organized. I think one of my problems is I don't go to the grocery store except maybe once a month or once every month and half,  I think I might be losing out on some deals that happen weekly so I have to I guess start going to the store more often (which I despise) Anyway, today I went to the store with coupons in hand. One of the workers was laughing at me because my cart was overflowing to the point I almost had to get another, and the gentleman in line in front of me commented that he was done checking out and I was still unloading.
My total bill was 324.91 at which point I nearly had a heart attack! BUT then came the coupons... after all was said and done my new total was 199.86- Not too shabby for a whole month and a half worth of groceries- at least I didn't think so.
So here are a few of my best deals that I found today:
Scotch Brite sponges- was 2 for 4.00 I had a coupon for 1.50 off so I bought 1 (which there were 2 in a pack) for 2.00 then after my coupon it only cost me .50
Pork Chops- buy 1 get 2 free
Beef Tips- buy one, get one free
Sara Lee Bread Whole Wheat Bread- Buy one, get one free
Red Gold Tomotoes- 2 for .88 with my coupon of .50 off 2 cans it cost me .33
Fresh Strawberries- (HUGE ones I might add) buy one, get one free
Kellog Frosted Flakes- Buy one, get one free
Doritos- buy one get, one free
Cheese It Crackers- This was buy one get one free. They were originally 3.29 but on sale for 1.69 I also had 1.00 off coupon so I got 2 boxes for .69 then had an additional 1.00 coupon off for an additional box
Clorox Stain Remover- original price was 3.29 it had an instore coupon for .55 off then I had a manufacturer coupon for an additional .55 off so the total on this came to 2.19
Pillsbury Biscuits- Price was 1.49 AND buy one, get one free PLUS I had a .75 off coupon so 2 cans cost .74

My receipt... It went almost from one end of the table to the other.

These are a couple of the strawberries that I told you were HUGE- this picture doesn't do them justice at all.

These were just some of the savings that I felt proud of- like I was finally getting a hang of this coupon thing.
Now, I just have to figure out how to get money back when shopping!
