Connections

 You hear so much in the media about how Facebook is so bad. I just don't see it- here is why.
I have re-connected with many people from years ago. Just recently I re-connected with someone whose children I used to babysit and the little girl who was my parents "god daughter" whom I just loved and adored but lost touch with. And then there is Tessa, sweet Tessa, who was my "date" for Homecoming because my boyfriend couldn't make it (not as crazy as it sounds).
What I have also liked about Facebook is it has also allowed me to become friends with people that I was not necessarily as close to years ago and realizing we have a lot more in common that what I thought. (Donna and Derenda)
But what I have liked the most is I have re-connected with "the girls" from school. We were like the 4 musketeers- Shanna, Karen, Kim and me. When you are growing up, you think you will be best friends for life, but somehow that changes and life takes you in separate directions and you just lose touch with each other. You become involved in new things, children, work etc...
It has been great getting to hang out with them -coffee in the mornings, going to lunches or hanging out at ones house. I am sad that I missed so many years in between (except Kim- we are conjoined) and missing out on important stuff, but I am glad we are making up for it now.
Love all you girls and so glad you are all a part of my life now.
